Yup, that's what we did for the Dances with Films - The Last Independent Film Festival. We shot a 2 minute short called Toasted and had to edit simultaneously to finish on time. Using Canon DLSRs and a hopped-up PC running Adobe Premiere CS5, the workflow was flawless and everything happened in real-time without conversions. The film debuted on the big screen the NEXT DAY at the Sunset 5 theater. I was the Cinematographer and we had a great team led by Writers/Directors/Actors Kevin and Rebecca.
